A very strong women's round robin event with $16000 prize fund will start in Baku, Azerbaijan, on September 3. Round 4. "Rising Stars" increased the score to 11.5-8.5. Results: Karjakin – Nikolic 1-0, Stellwagen – Ljubojevic 1-0, Smeets – Jussupow 0-1, Cheparinov – Beliavsky and Negi – Khalifman draws. Jussupow and Stellwagen show best personal results – 3/4.

French Championships
GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave who is yet under 17 became the youngest in history Champion of France. He drew both rapid games against Vladislav Tkachiev on today's tie-break and won both blitz games! IM Silvia Collas beat Sophie Milliet 1.5-0.5 in rapid games and took the women title.

17-year old GM Ivan Popov of Moscow beat Farrukh Amonatov in the last round and won the tournament with 8/10. FM A.Zabotin, GMs E.Andreev, A.Kornev and G.Tunik scored 7.5 points.

The "Experience" team: Alexander Beliavsky SLO, Artur Jussupow GER, Alexander Khalifman RUS, Ljubomir Ljubojevic SRB and Predrag Nikolic BIH. The "Rising Stars" team: Ivan Cheparinov BUL, Sergey Karjakin UKR, Parimarjan Negi IND, Jan Smeets NED and Daniel Stellwagen NED. In the first round "Experience" played White and lost 2:3 (Nikolic – Smeets 0-1, four draws).
